(Video): Clip proves Pochettino was completely wrong in press conference

Mauricio Pochettino has recently completed his latest press conference for the Aston Villa away game tomorrow night.

Some of his quotes were bizarre, and he seemed to either lie, or forget exactly what Ben Chilwell had said after the Wolves defeat at the weekend.

EXCLUSIVE! Youth players leaving, Mourinho keen to come in, Many players up for sale, One owner wants Poch out – his departure if rather than when, Power struggles, Finger Pointing, Amorim and Slot, More..

As seen in the clip below, Chilwell clearly says that Wolves wanted it more than Chelsea.

But Pochettino says that Chilwell did not say that!

As cited by SPTC, Pochettino said: “If you listen, Chilly never said that. He said we didn’t win, that it was 50-50 and they won. But that was my interpretation.”

But he clearly DID say that!

It’s just madness, and really isn’t going to help with the Chelsea fanbase who already want him sacked!

  1. When has the Chelsea fan base ever been a good measuring stick of anything? What happened when they finally got their wish last year and Potter was sacked in favor of their golden boy Lampard? THINGS GOT EVEN WORSE! And worst still, the final months of the season accomplished NOTHING! The whole rebuild took a giant step back thanks to the instability at manager!

The fact of the matter is that you can’t build anything if you’re constantly firing the architect. Look at what City and Liverpool have built and it has everything to do with stability. Pep and Klopp have been in those jobs longer than any Chelsea manager in half a century!!! And that has everything to do with their competing for titles year in and year out while we flounder.

I hate to say it, but the Chelsea fan base right now are their own worst enemy. This is not a situation that you can sack your way out of. This is a project that requires patience and a steady hand — and the fan base are, apparently, far too fickle to let anyone see it through.
