On commentary for TNT Sports, Rio Ferdinand mentioned before kick off how pumped Liverpool looked. That translated to the game. They dominated from the off, and Chelsea rather shrank in the spotlight.
The cameras from Chelsea TV followed the Blues as they warmed up and looked around the stadium, they didn’t look too hyped then either. This is when experience and leadership would come into play to help the youngsters keep their heads.
Instead there’s no JT in the tunnel making sure his boys were looking their opposite number in the eye. Just passive players and a passive performance.
