Chelsea linked with 23 year old – but he plays on the wrong side

There’s been a notable uptick in transfer rumours in the last few days. The combination of the international break and the suddenly approaching end of the season are combining to put us right back in the think of things in terms of chatter around how Chelsea may strengthen this summer.

A lot of the names are regurgitated, so we do enjoy it when we get a new one – case in point, Raoul Bellanova. The Torino wing back is emerging as a really useful player for his team, able to attack as well as defend and showing great quality in both.

TuttoMercatoWeb say we’ve made an “enquiry” about the 23 year old, who has 5 assists for his team this season, and that West Ham are also interested.

The problem for Chelsea is that he’s more known as a right sided option, and their needs are down the left, especially if Lewis Hall and Ian Maatsen are sold as expected. This rumour one isn’t convincing us just yet.
