Chelsea’s right hand side providing quality delivery – even with world class star injured

Malo Gusto and Cole Palmer each got an assist in yesterday’s game, extending their lead at the top of that particular table.

Gusto now has 5 and Palmer 7 in the Premier League. That’s 12 combined, with the rest of the squad only managing 18 between the rest of them. It shows how influential the two summer arrivals have been down that right flank.

Yesterday their efforts were crosses – a superb whipped effort from the right by Gusto, who found the onrushing Nicolas Jackson in the perfect spot to beat two centre backs.

Palmer’s effort was more speculative, in the final minutes of the game, a booming looped cross which found Axel Disasi at the far post, leaving Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken totally stranded.

It’s nice to have such good delivery in the team, even while Reece James is out. We’re expecting a few more assists from each of them before this season is done.
