“Do not do that” – ESPN pundit urges Chelsea star to stop doing one thing

ESPN journalist Gabriele Marcotti has been left unimpressed with one thing that Nicolas Jackson does during games.

Jackson opened the scoring in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Brentford and currently has 11 goals in all competitions in his debut campaign in England.

After his goal at the Gtech Community Stadium the 22 year old shushed the home fans and it isn’t the first time he has done that this season.

Speaking on The Gab and Juls Show with fellow pundit Julien Laurens he expressed his dislike for the action.

“Also, Nico Jackson, stop shushing the crowd. Those are the people who pay your salary, do not do that.”

Laurens added: “Especially after missing that big chance before the header.”

Jackson has emerged as a key player for Mauricio Pochettino this season following his summer move from Villareal and has impressed with his versatility.

The Senegalese international has made 30 appearances in all competitions and has found himself as the Blues first choice centre forward due to Christopher Nkunku’s fitness issues and the departure of Armando Broja to Fulham on loan.

Jackson will be hoping he can add to his 11 goals on Monday night and help Chelsea beat Newcastle in what is going to be a crucial game in the race for European qualification.

  1. He was shushing the Brentford fans who dissed him when he missed the earlier chance … fully acceptable

  2. I don’t mind Jackson shushing the fans. They’ve been obnoxious toward him despite his more than respectable goal haul. That he has this fight in him is a good thing!
