Former coach still has Chelsea “in his sights” with “desire to return to the Premier League”

Florian Plettenberg is following up on yesterday’s Bild story about a potential return for Thomas Tuchel to Chelsea with some even more juicy details that are bound to get fans more excited.

The top rated German insider says that Tuchel has “never ruled out” a return to the club which sacked him so unexpectedly in September 2022, with the club still “in his sights.”

Overall, when his time at Bayern Munich comes to and end this summer, Tuchel’s “short term desire is to return to the Premier League,” where he feels he has unfinished business. It’s all just such an exciting vision, but we’re trying not to get carried away.

Frankly we just can’t see the spiky Tuchel ever matching with the new ownership, who likely prioritise pliability in their coach even above success.

It’s a great story to bring up for retweets and clicks, but sadly it feels much more likely we see Tuchel at a Premier League rival than back in our dugout.
