Cole Palmer was called up for England and not used, Ben Chilwell was called up and used for almost two full games.
Both situations surprised Mauricio Pochettino, he admitted, and both could be significant. Both are guaranteed starters and have played a lot of minutes in the last two months.
Chilwell now goes right into the red zone, and the coach admitted he was considering his status for our game tomorrow. Meanwhile Palmer gets a welcome break, some gentle training for two weeks with no major match minutes.
