Dardai has been getting decent game time in the second tier despite his tender years, which will certainly improve his value, as will his excellent performances in the Pinatar Cup youth tournament in Murcia, Spain. He’s picked up two assists and a goal in his 15 appearances this season.
His age plus the fact that his contract is expiring makes him a prime target who fits perfectly into our new model. He wouldn’t be ready for first team action right away, and would instead presumably sent out on various loans like Andrey Santos and Cesare Casadei, who arrived at a similar age in the same position.
Let’s hope if we do sign him, that he gets sent to some better destinations than that pair, who have both had their progress bungled by our decisions in the transfer market a year ago.
