Chelsea have already selected a different captain for last game of the season

Chelsea have already chosen their captain for the final game of this season, and it is not Conor Gallagher, Ben Chilwell, or Reece James!

According to a report, Chelsea have selected a different captain to lead the team out in their final game of this season against Bournemouth scheduled for May the 19th at Stamford Bridge.

Sources: Chelsea make contact with reps of new striker as deal for the summer progresses!

And this is because said player has just announced that he will be leaving Chelsea at the end of this season.

Thiago Silva has announced he is leaving Chelsea when his current contract runs out at the end of this season after four years at the club.

Silva, who joined as a free agent, will become a free agent once again with no indication of what club he will move to coming out yet. You suspect that he will not reveal that until the end of the season so as not to distract the final five games that Chelsea have to play out.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Silva will captain the Chelsea team for the Bournemouth game as a touching tribute to the man who has become a real fan favourite and cult hero at the club during his five years here.

It will be a special moment, as long as Silva is going to be fit enough to play that game, to a player who has really given his all for this badge and has taken Chelsea into his own heart, just as Chelsea fans have taken Silva into theirs.

Silva has really shown the importance of having quality experience and leaders in any top team. Chelsea will miss him a lot when he goes, particularly because they lack experience and leadership already in this young team. Silva seems to have made a real impact off the pitch and in the dressing room, as well as on the pitch.
