Chelsea would be battling relegation right now if it was not for one player, that is the view of one Sky Sports pundit this weekend.
The view comes off the back of Chelsea failing to beat an actual relegation battling side, Sheffield United. The two sides drew 2-2 last night after Chelsea twice threw away a lead showing their softness under Mauricio Pochettino.

Jamie Redknapp was speaking about the game in Sky Sports, as cited by The Daily Mail this morning, and he believes that if not for Cole Palmer, Chelsea would currently be in a relegation battle, and really, it’s quite hard to argue that statement at the moment.
‘Chelsea would be in a relegation battle if it wasn’t for Cole Palmer,’ Redknapp told Sky Sports after the game.
Palmer has been THE Chelsea talisman this season and he has often been dragging them along. He’s the main man for goals and assists, and without him, Chelsea would not be as good, for me that is just a fact.
Every team has a player they can rely on so, Chelsea is not different.
