€130m striker makes important visit which hints at where he will end up this summer

Chelsea fans hoping that this would be the summer that we finally land Victor Osimhen and solve our goalscoring nightmares once and for all are looking set to be disappointed.

The striker has felt like he’s been gradually drifting out of our reach, for various reasons. Most importantly, the financial situation we’re in makes buying a player for big money and on big wages feel impossible. It may well be that we wriggle out of our FFP straightjacket with some sales this summer, but until that’s achieved we can’t really commit to chasing a superstar like the Nigerian.

Then there’s the appeal of coming to Chelsea, which has been fading fast in the last two years, since we’ve really seriously been linked to him. He’s just had a  down season with Napoli, he doesn’t want to come and join a struggling mid table team and continue the torture.

So the news from Football Italia that he’s been in Paris with his daughter doesn’t surprise us. PSG have looked favourites to land him for at least 6 months now, and they have the resources to pay the €130m clause which reportedly gets you the striker on a plate.

Just as was the case with Declan Rice, it feels like we waited just a little too long and missed our window of signing the goal machine when it was still a possibility.

With Kylian Mbappe on the way out, PSG have everything lined up nicely to bring in Osimhen. Let’s hope those in charge at Chelsea already have their next option lined up.

  1. He should avoid Chelsea FC at all cost. They will destroy his career with their defensive pattern of play. PSG will be better for him.

  2. Osimhem is overpriced anyway.

If there weren’t such a toxic relationship with the fans, simply recalling Lukaku would be a more sensible solution. We already own him and he’s shown he’s still got some goals in him.

On a related note, Christian Pulisic just bagged his 10th goal of the year for AC Milan, putting him ahead of ALL current Chelsea players from open play. Looks like, once again, the wisdom of the noisy crowd in London (who’d decided he was a bust) were dead wrong! Pioli has backed him with regular starts and he’s done nothing but produce goals and assists all year long for AC Milan. Well done, Chelsea. Well done!

    1. There’s always the tender to compare players when they leave the EPL to the less competitive leagues,no disrespect to Serie A,but we saw Pulisics ability, his flirting with injuries and the towering demand of the EPL.
Lukaku didn’t want to continue with Chelsea and i don’t cry over spilled milk, there are a thousand and one strikers out there that can deliver,Olie Watkins or Gyokeres can do the job,we will fine as long as we identify a good goal getter

  3. Sometimes I tend to tell my team mates that a cloud comes forth for some players bt t doesnot need t sell so quick. In such mood at chelsea Lukaku or Abraham Tammy wld be a function.
It has been notified that all our sold strikers are working best in their current teams,..
Fir any chance anyways , we try Gyokeres . We might forget all bad memories n acquiring goals. Good game ahead of the Sheffield United

  4. I think this is the right time for technical director to prove to us as fans that is the best man for the post thousands of strikers out there
