Journalist issues key injury updates for Chelsea players ahead of Everton

Chelsea have this week and weekend off playing any football after they only managed to draw 2-2 with bottom of the table Sheffield United on Sunday night.

On Monday they face Everton, a team that will provide another potential banana skin moment for Chelsea. The fact they have just been docked more points in the league means they will be fully up for this one and will want to try and make it up as they now edge closer to the relegation spots.

He reports that Ben Chilwell is expected to train with the rest of the squad this week after a knee injury and then an illness.

Levi Colwill does not seem to be too far away. The 21-year-old has been struggling with a toe problem and has not featured since Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at Brentford over a month ago.

Like Cole Palmer, Malo Gusto has been carrying a few little knocks in recent weeks. The next six days will be crucial for both Palmer and Gusto to recover.
