Manager admits he ‘pushed really hard’ to sign current Chelsea player recently

One manager has admitted this week that he pushed hard to sign a current Chelsea player recently.

Chelsea will of course have many players that other clubs are keen on signing, but this one hasn’t enjoyed success at all this season.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea send scouts to watch striker on international break!

Fulham’s Marco Silva has admitted his admiration of Chelsea striker Armando Broja and says that he was the one who pushed to sign him recently when they took him on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window.

However, Broja is not being picked by Silva at Fulham currently, which begs the question, does he even rate him at all?

But Silva says that not only did he push to sign Broja on loan in the winter, but he also wanted to sign him as a replacement for Aleksander Mitrovic last summer, showing that actually he does really rate the player.

In words cited by The Evening Standard, Silva said: “I was the main one responsible for him being at this football club. I pushed really hard for him to be here. I have to say that, last summer, I tried to sign him when we sold Mitrovic.

Even still, Broja’s loan continues to be a disaster move so far this season.

  1. Seriously, Simon, did you even watch/read the whole interview with Silva, or are you purposefully cherry picking quotes in order to fit your predetermined narrative? Silva has said, affirmatively, that he rates Broja, it’s just that Muniz has been scoring so regularly that he can’t drop him. Thus, it’s not that Broja has done anything wrong. But, as usual, Chelsea News have chosen to report only some of the facts in order to fit their running narrative that most of our loans are somehow “nightmares.” Why is it necessary to constantly try and “shade” the truth in these stories? Why can’t Chelsea News just report the facts?
