(Video): “A machine” – Moises Caicedo names his favourite part of teammate’s game

When Chelsea’s sporting directors spent more than £100m on one midfielder, then more than £100m on another midfielder 6 months later, they would have been hoping that meant that part of their team was sorted for a decade.

Instead there have been consistent questions about Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez playing together. In fact, in recent weeks we’ve done better when Caicedo has been teamed up with Conor Gallagher instead.

Hearing the Ecuador star speak about Gallagher, you start to understand why. He called his teammate a “machine” when comparing what it’s like to play with him compared to the more thoughtful Enzo.

“He helps me a lot when we need to recover the ball back,” Moises pointed out.

The debate about this partnership is set to rage all summer, especially if Caicedo and Gallagher close out this season strongly as a pair.

  1. Please, Chelsea should not sell Gallagher, that guy is good, and can only get better with time. He is a true blue.
