“We’re close” – Chelsea player believes team has nearly gone through transition

One current Chelsea player believes that his team are finally now close to completing the transition to becoming a successful team.

The current league position, performances, and results says otherwise, but it does seem like there is a belief from within the club that they are getting there. It’s not the first time we have heard Chelsea players say similar things lately.

Sources: Chelsea’s new manager plans and Pochettino stance – Contact has been made this week!?

Third choice goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli is the latest player to say this, speaking on the Chelsea website this morning.

The 31-year-old doesn’t play for Chelsea really as deep backup stopper, but he does have a real leadership-type role now at the club as one of the more senior heads.

And Bettinelli thinks it is an exciting time at the club and they are showing glimpses of heading back towards being successful once again, or at least closer to where they need and want to be as a club.

He said: “We’ve obviously gone through a really difficult transition period, I think we’re still finding our way, on and off the pitch, but I think we’re close. We’ve shown glimpses this season of how well we can do on the pitch, so it’s an exciting time.”
