“Dominated in all phases of play” – Chelsea man praises his team mates

Chelsea are off the back of a few good performances now and one of their players has been praising the entire team after ‘dominating in all phases of play’ in 5-0 win over West Ham yesterday.

They made it look easy in the end and in all honest, West Ham look liked they have already checked out for the season with their current manager set to leave in the summer. But the credit must go to Chelsea because every single player played well yesterday and they were superb overall.

Noni Madueke was great again and he has been praising his Chelsea team mates after the win.

Madueke was quick to point out it was a true team effort, though, with victory down to a strong all-round performance by the Blues.

‘It was a fantastic win,’ he said. ‘Everyone played really well individually and as a collective. We kept the ball well. I feel like credit has to be given to us, we dominated in all phases of play.

‘We played our game in possession, fought for each other, and that’s why the game probably looked as straightforward as it did.

‘They’re a difficult side to play – they’re very direct, they’re very strong and fast, very physical. We knew set-pieces and counter-attacks were where they could probably catch us, so we tried to limit that and I think we did it well.

‘We did well to defend that in a strong manner and then also dominate the game in possession. When we dominate games like that in possession I feel like we’re very difficult to beat.

‘Everyone played their position and their role so it was a great performance and a great day.’

Things are certainly now starting to click a bit more for Chelsea and it’s so important they now finish the season strong and get European football.
