Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea now ask for ‘conditions’ to sign 6ft 5in experienced player

Chelsea have now reportedly asked for conditions of the deal to sign a 6ft 5in player who has plenty of Premier League experience ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Blues are looking to do a number of different deals this summer to bring in new players across a few different positions. One of them is a new striker, as you will be well aware of by now, and there has been claims over night that Chelsea have now sent a first proposal to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. So we will have to see if anything develops from that one.

But the other area of the pitch they are looking to sign in is the opposite end in defence, with Thiago Silva departing the club at the end of the season.

Silva is a footballing legend and has vast experience in the game. Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo is perhaps not as experienced as Silva, but he does turn 27 at the end of the summer and he has well over 100 games experience playing in the Premier League, which is vital.

And it is Tosin who Chelsea have asked for salary conditions for ahead of him becoming a free agent when the season is over this summer.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports Chelsea have asked for salary conditions for Tosin Adarabioyo, and he also says to ‘keep an eye on them and Newcastle.’

It’s certainly one to watch, and getting a defender of that quality and experience would probably cost a club at least £40m in this day and age, so to be able to get him on a free transfer would be quite a smart move for any club.

Would he be good enough for Chelsea? Probably. Is there better options? Absolutely. But when Chelsea are also looking at signing in other areas, it might be smart to do deals like this to keep costs down.
