Journalist reveals when Chelsea expect to have a new manager in place by

One journalist has revealed when he expects Chelsea to have a new head coach in place by as the search for a new boss steps up and reaches the climax.

We have been hearing all sorts of stories over the last week or so and it’s been hard to keep up with what names are going around and what Chelsea’s plan actually is.

Sources: Chelsea target TWO Crystal Palace players for a move THIS summer!

It seems pretty clear now though that the club are looking to get a young manager who has experience of coaching in England, because that is the profile of names we have been seeing this week and that matches the two alleged final candidates.

But there could well be more twists and turns in the coming days and hours, and maybe we end up seeing Eden Hazard’s call for new Chelsea manager coming to fruition after all!?

However, I know many Chelsea fans who are already bored with all the reporting and are left wondering who the new manager might be, and they are just keen for it to be done and announced now.

So when will that happen?

Well, according to journalist Ben Jacobs who was involved in a Playback stream last night, Chelsea expect to have a new head coach in place within the next 24-48 hours.

So hopefully that means we wont have to wait too much longer before we know who will be leading the team into next season.

All signs point towards Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca right now, but there is no way you can rule out another name or candidate that has been previously mentioned, or even one that has not been mentioned at all yet.

Many Chelsea fans will feel Maresca, or most names that have been linked to be honest, will be an underwhelming appointment for the club.

  1. While there’s no one on the open market who’d overwhelm, Maresca (having worked under Pep and just gotten Liecester promoted certainly shouldn’t underwhelm City has been a top class outfit at level of its organization for years now and so Maresca will have learned from more than just Pep’s tactical genius, but also about the demands of a big club (something the other top candidates are worryingly short on experience with).
