One source has claimed that lawyers are working on one deal for Chelsea that could well be announced today as long as everything goes to plan.
It’s one of those deals though that every single football fan in the world knows is happening because it’s been so heavily reported to be, but we are all just now awaiting final confirmation and an announcement.

Enzo Maresca is set to become the next Chelsea manager, and we had the ‘here we go’ deal agreed from Fabrizio Romano days ago now, so we all know it’s happening.
But Chelsea officials have been in Spain this week just confirming the final details in the detail and presumably, sorting out the backroom staff and contracts for the coaches who will be joining Maresca at Chelsea.
However, according to Sam Wallace of The Telegraph, Maresa could be announced as new Chelsea head coach TODAY, as that is what lawyers are working towards.
It will be good to know
It’s actually been a really good and pretty impressive turn around from Chelsea, with it being just over a week ago when it was confirmed that they had parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino by mutual consent.
That actually seems like a long time ago and we have seen loads of rumours with new managers that Chelsea were looking at to come in and replace him since that happened. But the conclusion that they will be selecting Maresca as the next manager actually came very quick and Chelsea fans didn’t have to wait long to know who the next guy in the dugout will be.
It will be good to get the final confirmation and announcement though, so we can all just focus on moving forward once again.
Seems very clear now that Maresca will be on the bench at Stamford Bridge next season!
