(Video): Chelsea double their lead as Christopher Nkunku slides in Malo Gusto cutback

Chelsea lead 2-0 at Brighton, with Christopher Nkunku stepping up to finish a chance after plenty went begging for the Blues.

It’s a move we’ve wanted to see all year. Noni Madueke lures out the full back, Malo Gusto dashes into the space left behind, then pulls the ball back to Nkunku, who had the finishing touch we bought him for, stroking the ball in after peeling away from his defender with intelligent movement.

And finally, Nkunku got his Blue balloon out as part of his trademark celebration! Let’s hope to see plenty more of that next season. It’s been a totally snakebitten campaign for him this time out, and a new start should be good for everyone.

Nkunku seems pretty happy coming in off the left – could he start on Sunday if Mykhailo Mudryk isn’t ready to go then?
