(Video): Textbook Raheem Sterling goal puts Chelsea one result from the Europa League

Raheem Sterling has doubled Chelsea’s lead at Stamford Bridge.

The winger was brought into the team to replace Mykhailo Mudryk, and he’s done his bit today by dribbling in from the left wing, weaving between defenders and then scuffing the ball home.

It was a textbook Sterling goal: a little messy, but very effective. His future is quite uncertain, so it’s nice for him to end the season on a high. This goal also takes us another huge step closer to securing European football. If Manchester City can win the FA Cup, Europa League football that looked so unlikely not long ago will be ours.

Bournemouth have since pulled a goal back however, so it’s still game on! What a pity that Thiago Silva’s clean sheet in his final game is gone.
