Chelsea could be about to repeat one of their craziest transfer moves of all time by hijacking a club’s attempt to sign a player.
I remember it well. Brazilian star Willian was taking a medical ahead of his move to Chelsea when Roman Abramovich put the call in to hijack the deal and sign the winger instead. It was a very bold move, as reported at the time by The Guardian.
Sources: Calafiori to Chelsea? Jadon Sancho offered to Blues, Why Chelsea want Dewsbury-Hall and how they’ve chased him since LAST summer!
And now, the new ownership could do the same in what transfer expert Fabrizio Romano describes as a ‘crazy’ move in his latest YouTube video that can be seen in full below.
Chelsea to hijack Dewsbury-Hall move?
As above, Romano says: “Chelsea have the possibility of hijacking the move for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. They asked for information. Enzo Maresca is a big fan of the player. Brighton are hoping to complete the deal, but the player is waiting to see what happens.”
Dewsbury-Hall is apparently in Brighton waiting to take a medical but now waiting on Chelsea!
🚨🔵 Jakub Moder already completed first part of medical for Leicester City.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, in Brighton with medical also scheduled.
Leicester City would receive compensation fee in excess of £25m.
