Chelsea and Real Madrid reportedly set to swap players in one area of the pitch

One transfer rumour doing the rounds this afternoon is suggesting that Chelsea and Real Madrid could be set to swap players in one position on the pitch this summer.

Chelsea have been linked with new goalkeepers this week and are apparently moving fast now to try and sign Villareal stopper Filip Jorgensen, per multiple recent reports now.

Sources: Premier League club pushing to sign Chelsea defender!

However, this has not stopped the rumours of Chelsea wanting to sign other keepers too, namely Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin. Those rumours have not died off and there is a fresh one today via Spanish outlet, Diario AS.

As cited by Sport Witness, the report claims that Kepa Arrizabalaga wants to move back to Real Madrid and could return to the La Liga side if Andriy Lunin were to leave. Kepa was obviously on loan there last season and looks set to leave Chelsea this summer on a permanent deal.

Kepa to Real Madrid, Lunin to Chelsea?

Lunin has been playing well lately

That is what these reports are certainly suggesting could happen now, despite Chelsea seemingly pushing for Jorgensen.

The Blues could offer Lunin an escape route as the report states ‘Chelsea are coming for him’. Enzo Maresca’s side are ‘very serious’ about Lunin, despite them making efforts to sign Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen.

Chelsea can use Kepa as the key to unlock the deal for the Real Madrid player. The Blues can carry out an exchange deal involving the two stoppers.

Kepa certainly wants to return to Real Madrid, that bit is clear. But whether Chelsea are really into Lunin or not remains to be seen and then if they are, would the two clubs be willing and able to sort some kind of swap deal that would suit all sides?

And to be honest, Chelsea seem far along with Jorgensen at the moment, unless they are going to bring two new goalkeepers!
