Reports have suggested the squad are enjoying his methods and a number of players including Christopher Nkunku and Levi Colwill have spoken very positively of Maresca.

London World report that Chelsea are impressed with how Maresca has handled his first few weeks in charge, and highlighted his enjoyable training methods as a positive, which have seen players working with the ball from day one.

The report adds that one of the reasons Pochettino was dismissed was because he wasn’t particularly hands on and left a lot of the finer details to his assistant Jesus Perez, and London World add that Chelsea want a manager who teaches the players to play football rather than just coach it.

Style of play is also a key factor for Chelsea and the report states that club sources have been impressed with the style of football displayed in training, with Maresca known to favour possession heavy brand of football.

It certainly seems like Maresca has made a positive start but the hard work has yet to begin, and the former Leicester boss will be judged on results, which he will be under pressure to achieve immediately.

  1. He studied all Chelsea last session matches before start training, so he known what Chelsea lack of when or where to passing. Now only concern is we missing our main striker, NJ injury, hopefully can Nkunku replace well for Chelsea.
