Chelsea might have to look elsewhere to sign a new attacker with one potential target now leaving the table, at least that is according to one report last night.
The Blues have been looking at many different options this summer and seemingly have a big shortlist of players that they are considering and reaching out to. One of them looks impossible already.

As I reported on my Substack site some weeks back now, Chelsea have been considering a move for Bayern Munich winger Mathys Tel. However, that looks like it will not be progressing.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Bayern have no plans to sell Tel, and the player himself wants to stay at the club.
That could change though

Bayern have been linked with a few potential new wingers themselves, so I do wonder if Tel might look to leave the club if they do end up signing a new winger or two, meaning that his game time might be under threat. There’s a chance that might happen still I feel, but any move to Chelsea now does appear to be very unlikely at this point.
At the moment it looks like Tel will be continuing at Bayern, and that means Chelsea will have to turn attentions to another attacking option, and I am sure that they have many.
They are seemingly looking to bring in at least one more attacker this window, and potentially even a striker as well.
Chelsea of course looked at Michael Olise and tried to sign him, but for many reasons it seems, they backed out of that deal and it didn’t happen. So where next for Chelsea? Only time will tell, with many names being linked still but nothing progressing much at this moment in time at least.
