(Image) Chelsea ace continues resurgence after being named in Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament

Marc Cucurella’s fine form for Spain at Euro 2024 has seen him named in the official Team of the Tournament alongside five of his team-mates.

Cucurella took his brilliant end of season form for Chelsea onto the international stage and was a standout performer not just for Spain, but also at the tournament.

In his first major tournament the 25-year-old started every game for Spain bar the final group game against Albania which he was rested for.

Cucurella impressed with his defending, but he also displayed his attacking intent as he popped up with the match winning assist in the final for Mikel Oyarzabal as Spain won all seven of their games in Germany.

His form hasn’t gone unnoticed and the Spaniard was rightfully named in the official Team of the Tournament alongside his Spain team-mates Rodri, Fabian Ruiz, Nico Williams, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal, whilst Kyle Walker was the only England player to get into the side.

Cucurella will have a well earned break before linking back up with Chelsea where he is likely to play a key role under Maresca, and there’s every chance he could start the season as the club’s first choice left back.
