An exclusive has his morning revealed that one of the most in demand 16 year olds on the market this summer has had a trial at Chelsea this week.
Top Ghanaian talent Fatawu Ganiwu has accepted a trial invite to come to Cobham, where he’s this week going to work with Chelsea’s similar age groups.
He’s had trials with a number of clubs this summer, including RB Salzburg, who have a great reputation for snapping up the best West African talent at this age. He’s a defensive midfielder and already looks to have a great future in the game.
We’re also hearing from other sources that he played 25 minutes in a friendly for the Under-18s. That will have given the staff a great idea of how he gets on in an academy setup.
