(Image): Improving Chelsea star makes “team of the group stage” at Copa America

It’s fair to say Moises Caicedo had a slow start to his Chelsea career.

He arrived late in the window and really struggled to get up to speed. It wasn’t just his form that was an issue, it was also a more widespread problem with the balance of the midfield.

As time went on he got better and better however, and it seems he’s carried that good form into the Copa America. WhoScored have just announced their “team of the group stage” and Caicedo is in there after some really strong performances for Ecuador.

They now face Enzo Fernandez’ Argentina in the knockout rounds – one of them is coming home very soon. That game at 2am tomorrow morning is going to be very interesting indeed… we just hope both of them make it through it uninjured.
