One journalist has today confirmed that Chelsea’s interest in signing one new left winger name this summer transfer window is actually legit.
Chelsea are looking to make some more signings this summer window as they look to still improve the squad that they have and add to it some more.
Sources: Chelsea readying potential move again for Premier League and England striker!! 👀
They are seemingly looking for one or two more attackers, with a striker still being the priority being spoken about via most sources and outlets.
But they are also being heavily linked with new wingers as well, and on this occasion, it is a new left winger. However, there is a bit of confusion over whether this player would be for the first team this season, or one for the future.
Chelsea keen on Wesley
Our writer Simon Phillips has confirmed Chelsea’s interest in Corinthians winger Wesley Gassova.
The 19-year-old Brazilian is coming up through the ranks in Brazil and really starting to make a name for himself.
Phillips, writing on his own Substack site, says: “SPTC sources have confirmed this interest [in Wesley] is legit, but we have yet to hear about an official offer going in.
“However, we were told it was for a ‘future transfer’ from sources, and this is not a player that Chelsea have been looking at for the here and now. There is even talk that it could even be for Strasbourg, or if Chelsea do sign him, then a loan to Strasbourg or elsewhere is likely.”
At 19-years-old, Wesley has 58 appearances for Corinthians and has scored 6 goals. the left winger has a market value of just £8m and a contract until 2027. He can also play anywhere across the front three and is right-footed.
We will have to wait and see if anything comes of this one and what the plans would be for him, IF Chelsea signed him.
