Preseason friendlies are hard to analyse. You don’t want to praise the good things too much, but it’s always tempting to be worried by the bad things.
On the London is Blue podcast’s review of last night’s 2-2 draw with Wrexham in Chelsea’s first game of the season, they noted it was hard to find too much to praise, especially in the second half when the full team was changed and looked a lot less cohesive.
They managed to find some praise for the move that led to the second goal, but that was about it.
“It’s all questions,” was their summary of a game which certainly didn’t leave fans delighted.
Let’s hope the subsequent games produce a few answers.
