(Video): Chelsea striker target scores poaches goal to put his team in front

One Chelsea striker target this summer has scored a poaches goal over night to put his team in front in one international tournament this summer.

However, the goal ended up coming in vain because his side lost on penalties in the Copa America third and fourth placed playoff game last night.

Uruguay beat Canada on penalties after drawing 2-2 with them in 90 minutes, and it was Chelsea target Jonathan David who helped keep the drama going in the game.

David thought he won the game

David’s goal came in the 80th minute, which was a tidy poachers finish as seen above, and that put Canada 2-1 up and they thought it would be enough to win the game.

But a late Luis Suarez equaliser for Uruguay forced the game eventually into penalties and it was also his late penalty that helped seal the win for his country.

Meanwhile, we’ll see if anything even comes from David to Chelsea links.
