England are out of Euro 2024 after a heartbreaking loss in the final against Spain.
As most people predicted, Gareth Southgate’s team sat deep and suffered for most of the game. They couldn’t keep the ball and couldn’t control the flow or tempo.
They went behind and all seemed lost. Once again the coach was forced to turn to the bench. Cole Palmer grabbed an assist for England in the semi, tonight he went one better, picking up a nice layoff and bending the ball in off his left in the fashion we saw so many times for Chelsea this season.
In the end it was for naught however.
