(Video): Pochettino’s favourites could have saved his job by playing better claims pundit

When talking about Chelsea, Simon Jordan spends most of his time on TalkSport defending the ownership.

Perhaps it’s just because he’s a contrarian, or perhaps it’s because he’s a former club owner himself. But the more criticism Clearlake and Todd Boehly get, the more Jordan stands up for them.

That was evident on TalkSport this week when the other pundits called the appointment of Enzo Maresca a risk, and pointed to the connection that the squad had built with Mauricio Pochettino last season.

Jordan dismissed this right away, and rather viciously made the point that those same players should have been more focused on their own performances rather than who was managing them – if they had done better in the first half of the season, perhaps the coach they liked so much would still be in a job?

  1. Bring in viktor Gyokeres, pickford, dani olmo and desire doue then sell raheen sterling, broja, lukaku and sanchez

  2. Why show a picture of Boehly when it’s public knowledge that it was Eghbali’s decision to part with Pochetinno? By now I thought it would of sunk in who the real boss is. Him controlling 60% and that’s not Boehly. Buck was chairman before Boehly but he was a bit player too. Marina Granovskaia was the real powerhouse Roman trusted.
