(Video) “This is going to affect them going forward” – Pundit shares view on Enzo Fernandez racism incident

Former Premier League star Darren Bent believes Enzo Fernandez’s team-mates will never look at or trust him in the same way following the video of him making racist remarks on the Argentina team bus.

Fernandez went live on Instagram after Argentina’s Copa America success and was singing a song which included racist and discriminatory language about French players.

The video went viral for all the wrong reasons, and Wesley Fofana was the first of Chelsea’s French contingent to call out the situation as he posted a clip of the video on his social media with the words “Football in 2024: Uninhibited racism.”

The midfielder apologised on Instagram and is also understood to have apologised to his Chelsea team-mates, whilst the club released a statement saying they have launched an internal disciplinary procedure over the incident.

Speaking on talkSPORT Bent believes the situation will effect Chelsea going forward and that the Argentine’s team-mates won’t look at or trust him in the same way again.
