(Video): “Very good” – New manager pleased with latest tactical experiment

It was interesting to hear Enzo Maresca’s thoughts on the friendly against Wrexham on Wednesday night.

The Blues drew 2-2 in their first game under the new coach, but there were some positives. One notable tactical change was the use of full backs Malo Gusto and Reece James in midfield, both as full backs inverting inside, but in James’ case also just as a plain midfielder.

“[James] was very good. Both he and Malo in the second half, they tried.”

Our next game is against Celtic tomorrow night, and we’re very curious whether we see a development of the same idea there.
