Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on Chelsea’s reported interest in wanting to sign Victor Osimhen of Napoli this summer.
It’s a rumour that has been circulating for many months now and has been building up, but the expectation recently is that Chelsea will not be going for the striker due to his price and wages – the overall financial package.

But could Chelsea change their stance, or more importantly, could Napoli and the Osimhen? Because the latter is what would need to happen if this is a move that will go through.

On his latest PlayBack video (above) last night, Romano says: “Chelsea will not pay crazy money for Victor Osimhen! If the conditions change for Osimhen, we shall see. The package needs to be different.”
So it doesn’t seem like Romano is ruling it out at this stage, meaning something could still develop. Yet it still seems very unlikely to me.
Chelsea sporting director and his team should shun the move for Osimhen if they don’t want the team to suffer dressing room crisis.
