Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling swap deal: Latest updates from Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano has jumped on a PlayBack stream late last night to deliver all his latest transfer news updates ahead of the final 48 hours of the window.

Things are about to kick off for Chelsea and they are still expected to be the busiest club in these final two days. The odd thing is that we are not hearing anything at all on any advancements to sell any players, meaning it looks like some players could well be stuck at the club training with the U21s until the next opportunity to leave in January comes along. Madness.

Sources: Chelsea in talks with TWO strikers at this same time ahead of deadline day madness!

Anyway, this update is particularly about one player who could actually still leave before the deadline window closes, and one player who could come in as a result of said player leaving.

I’m talking about a Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho ‘swap’ deal as such. A move that would see Sterling head to Manchester United and Jadon Sancho head to Chelsea.

Sancho open to Chelsea

In his latest video, as seen above, Romano said:

“It’s still the same: Jadon Sancho to Chelsea could only happen if United take a player from Chelsea who is out of the project, like Chilwell or Sterling, etc. United are still negotiating with Juventus. Player open to Juventus and Chelsea.”

So there you have it. It doesn’t sound like anything is advancing very quick for this one either and it could be another potential transfer deal that goes to the final moments of deadline day.
