Athletic: Chelsea will consider offers for £28.5million player in new turn of events

Chelsea will reportedly consider offers for one player in the final weeks of this summer’s transfer window in a bit of a turn of events.

There is a lot that can happen in these final weeks and days of the transfer window, and Chelsea are tipped to be one of the busier clubs in the market, particularly with outgoing moves.

Sources: The four striker names Chelsea are ‘watching’ this month – Chelsea are looking to bring one striker in before end of window

There is still a very big squad training in the first team each day at Cobham right now and ideally, new head coach Enzo Maresca is going to want to see that majorly trimmed down as soon as possible.

It seems that Chelsea are open to selling quite a few players towards the end of this window in what might end up being a bit of an exodus of players.

Madueke up for sale

Madueke could depart Chelsea this month

The Athletic reports that Chelsea would consider offers for Noni Madueke in excess of the £28.5million paid to PSV Eindhoven to acquire him in January 2023.

And this is even despite Madueke being Chelsea’s most productive winger not named Cole Palmer, as worded in the report.

Madueke being up for sale is a bit of a surprise and a bit of a turn of events after he seems to be a nailed on regular last season and again this season. Even if he is not going to be starting you’d have expected that Chelsea would at least want to keep him as solid competition. But it looks like bringing funds in is now more important if this report is true.
