“Behind the scenes” – Fabrizio Romano ensures things moving on Joao Felix to Chelsea

Joao Felix celebrates scoring for Chelsea

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are working on the Joao Felix deal ‘behind the scenes’ this week with many complexities attached to it.

It appears that this deal is now the priority that Chelsea are working on and is for now more intense than the Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku potential swap deal.

Romano says the focus at Chelsea right now is getting Conor Gallagher sold to Atletico Madrid which of course at the moment looks like it would see Felix move to Chelsea are part of the overall deal, although it wont be an official swap deal.

Chelsea fans have been getting restless about this one, well, at least the fans who want to see Felix back at Stamford Bridge this season as I know that wont be all of them.

Things happening behind the scenes

As you can see cited above, Romano ensures that things are going on behind the scenes in this deal and whilst it’s quite, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t advancing forward with conversations ongoing.

It’s such a complex deal to do that it was always going to take time. When striker Samu Omorodion left the deal, for whatever reason, and Felix entered it, it was almost like it went right back to scratch again with Gallagher returning to Chelsea to train with the U21s after he took his Atletico medical and was in Spain ready to join them!

The whole saga has been crazy, but it looks like it has a little way to play out yet!
