Chelsea ace who scored two goals last season attracting interest from Spanish clubs

Armando Broja is training with Chelsea’s development squad but has attracted interest from clubs in the Premier League and Spain according to reports.

Broja is one of a number of players the Blues are looking to offload this summer before the transfer window closes, but progress on his possible departure appears to have slowed.

The Albanian didn’t have a good Euro 2024, but was perhaps surprisingly included in the Chelsea’s squad for their pre-season tour of America, although he featured sparingly.

Broja had been attracting interest from the likes of Wolves and Everton, whilst Italian giants AC Milan were also thought to have expressed interest earlier this summer.

Now that Chelsea are back from America and the end of the window is drawing nearer the future of a number of Chelsea’s players including Broja is set to be decided.

The Telegraph report that the Albania international is attracting interest from Premier League clubs and teams in Spain, and he’s now training with Chelsea’s development squad as he looks to secure a move away.

Broja failed to impress under Mauricio Pochettino last season and the Blues were open to selling him in January, but there were no takers at their reported £50m asking price.

Broja joined Fulham on loan instead in an attempt to boost his value, but that move was a disaster and the 22-year-old played just 80 minutes for the club.

It’s unclear what Chelsea’s asking price is for Broja and they will be looking for a permanent sale, although the closer it gets to the end of the window their stance could change.

Broja isn’t the only striker the Blues are looking to move on this summer, and the club are locked in talks with Napoli for Romelu Lukaku, whilst they are also prepared to let David Datro Fofana leave and he’s reportedly attracting interest from Leicester.
