Chelsea want to include two players as they explore shock swap deal

Chelsea are exploring a move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho and could use Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell as part of a potential deal according to reports.

The Blues are set for a busy end to the window and whilst they are looking to bring a striker in if the right opportunity presents itself their main focus is on outgoings.

There’s a number of players the club need to move on before Friday’s deadline and they might have to get creative as they face a race against the clock to find solutions.

Chelsea explore Sancho deal

Chelsea have made it clear that both Sterling and Chilwell are no longer part of the plans but moving them on could prove difficult given their wages and in Chilwell’s case his injury record.

However, Italian outlet Di Marzio have reported that the Blues are exploring a deal for Sancho and could look to use one or both players in a potential deal.

The report adds that Juventus are in negotiations with the winger and are looking for a loan deal but are yet to come to an agreement over his salary but are exploring different options to find a solution.

Chelsea are exploring a possible deal for Sancho.

Quite where Sancho fits in at Chelsea were he to arrive is unclear given the array of attacking talent and the arrivals of Joao Felix and Pedro Neto, whilst you would also have to question why he would want to join given there’s no obvious route to regular minutes.

It seems clear the Blues are exploring different avenues in an attempt to offload players as finding a conventional solution could prove difficult with such little time left in the window.

It perhaps makes sense from a financial perspective as Chelsea would be offloading one or two high earners and in return would be getting a younger more valuable player, although Sancho’s salary is significant and he would have to fall in the line with the current wage structure.

Whilst the chance of this seemingly appears remote we know to expect the unexpected with Chelsea, particularly in the final week of the window.
