Chelsea are looking to raise over £200m through player sales before the end of the transfer window according to reports.
By their own recent standards the Blues haven’t been as free spending this summer compared to others but they have still invested heavily in the squad.
The signing of Pedro Neto from Wolves was their most expensive of the summer at £51.4m and whilst they are still keen to add more with the likes of Joao Felix and Victor Osimhen a possibility the club really need to trim down the size of the squad.

Chelsea have been renowned for being a club that sells well, but progress on outgoings has been slow this summer with the only sales of note Ian Maatsen and Omari Hutchinson whilst Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico Madrid is up in the air after Samu Omorodion’s move to Stamford Bridge collapsed.
The Blues were compliant with profit and sustainability rules this summer but attention has turned to makeing sure they are compliant for the 2024/2025 season.
Mail Sport have reported that Chelsea are looking to raise over £200m through player sales before the end of the window and they consider that possible.
The club have plenty of players they are looking to sell and there’s currently a group training away from the first team containing the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah who are all not wanted, but sorting their futures out has proven difficult.
There’s also the possibility Chelsea could sell the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka and Ben Chilwell who on the evidence of pre-season don’t appear to be a major part of Enzo Maresca’s plans and the pair could command reasonable fees.
The Blues have got the players to sell the hard part now is sorting the deals and the closer it gets to the end of the window there’s also the worry they may have to accept less than they wanted for players in order to move them on.
