Chelsea striker pre-season stats shows he has given club and Enzo Maresca big headache

Chelsea are now three games into their pre-season campaign having endured one loss, one draw, and one defeat so far.

The victory came over night against Club America in the USA and it was Chelsea’s best performance so far ahead of the new season.

Sources: Chelsea ‘still there’ for Nico Williams, chasing Desire Doue, and pondering offer to sign Federico Chiesa!

Enzo Maresca had his players playing a bit more in the way he would like to see, even though they didn’t quite boss it as much as he would like in terms of possession. They won the game 3-0 though and played well, there are many positives and improvements to take from the game and clear development.

One player who played well and has played well in all three games so far is teenage striker Marc Guiu, who started the game once again last night. Not only that though, Guiu also scored the second goal on the night for Chelsea, which was a lovely little near post glancing header that found the net.

Guiu’s stats shine

The stats below show just how well he has been doing so far this pre-season…

Marc Guiu’s preseason for Chelsea so far:

☑️3 games
☑️192 minutes
☑️1 goal
☑️1 assist
☑️7 shots
☑️2 key passes
☑️1 big chance created
☑️4/5 successful dribbles
☑️9/15 duels won

And now he will give his manager a selection headache in the coming games and as well as that, give the club a headache as well over what to do with Guiu this summer.

Does he go out on loan for development, or does he stay in and around the first team? I guess it all depends whether Chelsea sign a new striker or not.
