Chelsea face Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
It’s our final preseason friendly, and Enzo Maresca appears to be moving towards his ideal team. This is a very strong side.
Robert Sanchez is back in goal. We could yet see Fillip Jorgensen in the second half, and if we don’t we can be fairly confident that Spaniard Sanchez has the gloves to start the season.
The back four has Malo Gusto at right back Marc Cucurella on the left for his first minutes of preseason, having only come back from holiday this week. He won’t last 90 minutes, but will hopefully get enough minutes in his legs to be ready for next week.
It’s an interesting midfield 3. Enzo Fernandez and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall flank Romeo Lavia. Moises Caicedo is on the bench, but we will surely see him later in this game and from the start next weekend when we take on Man City.
Up front, Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke flank Marc Guiu. Newly returned Nicolas Jackson is on the bench, but we’ll surely see him in the second half as Maresca gets as close as he can to having his strongest team on the pitch.
