“Chelsea want” – Blues looking for ‘buy-in first’ in tense moments of huge transfer deal

Chelsea are looking to pull off a massive transfer deal in the final days of this summer’s transfer window as the game of poker reaches the climax.

Chelsea have been playing against Napoli in this game of poker for months now as they look to sign Victor Osimhen from them. It looks like Chelsea have been waiting until the dying moments of the transfer window to play their last hand in this game.

Sources: Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling, Trevoh Chalobah & more: Three days left!

Chelsea clearly want to bring in a new striker before the window is up, and they have often been linked with many names. But Osimhen’s name has been there for well over a year now and it just seems that it’s gone too far now for Chelsea not to get this one done.

It was never going to be easy of course, and it still doesn’t sound easy today with just two and a half days remaining in the window and seemingly still plenty to try and sort out.

Ben Jacobs has the latest on this situation via his latest post on X, as seen above.

Jacobs said:

“Chelsea are in talks today with Victor Osimhen over terms, which must fit into their wage structure for them to proceed.

“Napoli anticipating a bid, but Chelsea want Osimhen buy-in first.

“Chelsea have other options, including Ivan Toney, in case Osimhen doesn’t accept.”

Toney is one name that has kept popping up this week as well and seems like an interesting one to watch!
