In a welcome sight for all Chelsea fans Cole Palmer has taken to social media to confirm he’s back at the club’s Cobham training base.

Palmer missed the tour of America as he was having a well earned break following his exploits with England at Euro 2024.

His team-mates are heading back to London after they concluded the tour with a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday, meaning they won just one of their five matches.

Whilst there were some positives there’s still a lot of work to be done ahead of the new season, but Maresca does still have three key players to welcome back in Palmer, Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson.

Palmer took the Premier League by storm last season as he was named Premier League Young Player of the Year and he also shone on the international stage this summer.

The 22-year-old is now back at Cobham and there’s a chance he will get his first minutes of pre-season this weekend against Inter Milan, but it appears once again a lot of Chelsea’s hopes could well rest on his shoulders.

The challenge for Palmer will be can he get close to or even better his exploits of last season, but you wouldn’t bet against him as it appears nothing fazes him.
