Di Marzio: Chelsea make first official offer to sign elite striker before window shuts

Chelsea have made their first official offer to sign an elite striker before the summer transfer window closes this coming Friday.

The Blues are looking to make one or two more big signings before the window shuts, but time is running out and there seems to be plenty of negotiations to do. It seems though that Chelsea have started with at least one of their striker targets with an official move.

Sources: Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling, Trevoh Chalobah & more: Three days left!

That is according to Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio late last night, who is saying that Chelsea have now made an official offer to the camp of Victor Osimhen.

Will it be too little and too late?

A lot of work left to do on this one

All the reports we have been hearing on this lately is that Osimhen’s wages will be too much for Chelsea and he will not be willing to drop his demands to make the move. So is it going to be a case of Chelsea offering too little too late now?

Di Marzio said last night that Chelsea has made a first official offer for Victor Osimhen, delivered to the agent Calenda. In the next few hours, it is possible that the negotiation with Napoli will begin.

So it seems like today (Wednesday) is going to be a key day for this deal and whether it moves forward or not, but I guess also that is going to depend on exactly what Chelsea have offered Osimhen and whether it is anywhere near close to what he will be willing to accept.

  1. With only Saudi Arabia seriously considering his 500k/wk wage demands we’re honestly in the perfect position. He’s apparently desperate to stay in Europe and we’ve already gotten a number of decent striker options and don’t need to meet his wage demands. I’d expect somewhere in the 300k-350k/wk ought to get the deal across the line or else Osimhen can literally go pound sand, lol!
