Enzo Maresca answers whether Cole Palmer will be available for Man City game

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been taking questions from the media after his side’s 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid in America last night.

It was the final game of the USA tour for Maresca and his side, and they will now be looking ahead to the start of the Premier League season in just 11 days from now. But before that, there is one more pre-season friendly for Chelsea to play against Inter Milan on Sunday.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea will make SECOND Oscar Bobb approach, closing on Grabriel Mec!!

Cole Palmer was back at Cobham today for the first time since his long summer break and playing at the Euros with England. Chelsea fans, coaches, staff, and everyone involved with the club will be over the moon to have Palmer back.

But will he make the first league game of the season and also, does he have a chance of featuring against Inter in the friendly?

And also, will Nicolas Jackson make either game?

Maresca hopeful

As you can see from the above quotes, Maresca is feeling hopeful that both players will at least make the City league game, which of course is the most important one.

Maresca when asked if Palmer and Jackson will be ready for Inter Milan and Man City:

“I’m not sure for Inter. Hopefully the City game. They are all important players. Between Cole and Nicolas last year they scored almost 40 goals so they are both very important. And Marc, too. The important thing is they start with us and soon we can use them.”

There you have it!
