Future Chelsea star Estevao Willian has been called up to the Brazil squad for the first time at just 17 years old following a series of impressive performances for Palmeiras.
The Blues agreed a deal earlier this summer for the Brazilian wonderkid reportedly worth up to £51.4m with the teenager set to join up with his new team-mates after the Club World Cup next summer.
Estevao has made 34 appearances for Palmeiras, scoring seven goals and providing six assists with the forward viewed as one of, if not the biggest talent in South America.
He’s been billed as the best Brazilian player since Neymar and whilst there’s a long way to go in his development he’s clearly a generational prospect.
However, at his tender age the impressive youngster has added to his achievements as he earned his first call up to the Brazil squad for the games against Paraguay and Ecuador next month.
Estevao shared a video of his reaction to the news on social media which shows him celebrating the moment with his family.
On the call-up Estevao said: “I barely slept last night. It’s another dream come true.”
Chelsea fans will no doubt be watching their future star closely over the international break with Estevao hoping to make his debut.
