One of Chelsea’s key players has stated that the whole squad are excited going into a new season despite losing the opener against league champions Manchester City.
There has still been a lot of criticism aimed in Chelsea’s direction by pundits and the media, as well as from many Chelsea fans too.

But most of the Chelsea players and staff keep coming out and saying the same thing, and that is that they all believe in the project and the young players in the squad.
Palmer confident for rest of season
Cole Palmer is Chelsea’s talisman, there is no doubt about it. And he has been speaking this week after being crowned PFA Young Player of the Season for last season.
Palmer says:
“I want to win trophies with Chelsea, that is the main thing, and then the individual awards are nice. Life is great, I can’t complain.
“The whole season was a great season personally and hopefully, we can kick on this season.
“Everyone is excited. The squad is full of young players, we have a great manager and great staff so hopefully, we can have a good season.”
And upon winning the award, Palmer said:
“It is really special and I just want to say thank you to all of the players for recognising me.”
I am sure with the way he played last season and at The Euros this summer, this will be the first of many trophies and medals for Palmer.
